David has dedicated his career to investment management. Before founding Ascendra, he served as the Chief Operating Officer and partner at one of New Jersey's largest industrial real estate developers, overseeing over eighteen million sqft of development. His prior roles include Director at Borrelli Walsh, a global restructuring firm and leading the workout and restructuring portfolio at a multibillion-dollar hedge fund. David served on board of directors for publicly traded companies and as a member of creditor committees in significant bankruptcy cases. He graduated cum laude from the New York Institute of Technology.
Steven is a founding partner and Co-Chief Executive Officer at Hill Valley Healthcare. He is responsible for the overall financial strategy and direction of the company and oversees and directs the origination, underwriting, financing and closing actives of the acquisitions, dispositions and JV arrangements. Prior to founding Hill Valley, Steven established the skilled nursing arm for MDG Real Estate Global, a public company traded on the TASE, where he ran the acquisition and financing department for all their skilled nursing facilities. He also served as director for MDG’s operating affiliate, Majestic Care.
Shimmy is a founding partner and Co-Chief Executive Officer at Hill Valley. He brings with him over 20 years of extensive experience in healthcare leadership and executive management. Mr. Idels specializes in transitioning distressed nursing facilities into stable, profitable and compliant assets and has rehabilitated several such organizations with extraordinary results. Prior to founding Hill Valley, Shimmy served as Chief Operating Officer at Continuum Healthcare, a prominent skilled nursing operator in the NJ/PA area.
